Hanging out at the Beach with Uncle Ryan

My brother has been hanging out with us waiting for the baby to arrive. He has been a big help and always keeps my kids laughing. A few days ago, the weather was so nice we decided to go to the beach close to our house. We had a really fun time and I am so glad that he is here so that I don't have to entertain the kids.

Here he is trying to teach Luke how to Boogie Board. Check out the surfers in the background!

Luke was so proud of himself. He figured out how to do it and was in the water for at least 2 hours by himself "boarding".


So if Luke is our little fish, Brooke is definitely more like a house cat. She doesn't like the water. She didn't even try to get in it. Granted, most of the time we come to the beaches here, the water is freezing and we are wearing our jackets. I guess her idea of the beach is a little distorted from living in Northern California.


Here is Brooke with Uncle Ryan making a sandcastle. It was great until the tide washed it away.
