Home Alone...

So JR left today for Texas for three weeks to go to trial! He was pretty excited to go since he has been working on this case for the past two years and only about 5% of patent cases ever make it to court. The other ones usually settle. Not this one though, and the timing couldn't have been worse. Here I am with a one month old, and he goes and leaves. I was freaking out about it and then I realized that there are plenty of single moms out there and that I should be OK. Also, he has been working crazy hours (surprise, surprise) and so the only difference is that he sleeps here and we see him for a few minutes in the morning. Other than that, there isn't much difference in him working at his office 30 minutes away or in Texas 3,000 miles away. So why am I freaking out??? I guess there is just something about having your spouse home at night and withing driving distance. Even though he was at work most of the time and I don't usually wake him up to help out with Caitlynn at night, I will definitely miss having him here. Please pray for me that I will survive without him. Oh, and Hun, good luck!

Pumpkin Patch

Here is Caitlynn getting ready to go to the pumpkin patch. Either she is really excited or the flash almost blinded her. Sorry little one.
No I did not put a pumpkin on her head. I just zoomed in to see her face and that is what it appears to look like.

Here is Brooke and her best friend Emme jumping off the hay bails. They had so much fun together.

Here we are with our good friends the Halls and the Harnois'. Why did you guys have to go and move to Utah on us? We were sure excited to see you this week.

Luke found his pumpkin!

Here is my attempt at a picture of all the kids. They sure keep me busy.

I found my pumpkin!! We love our lil' pumpkin Caitlynn.

He Won!!!!!

Luke won his first contest, hooray for Luke! At school the San Bruno Fire Department came and talked about fire prevention and then gave out blank sheets of paper for the kids to color. Luke came home and pulled out his big fire truck and started drawing. A couple of weeks later, we got a envelope saying he had been picked as a winner. So, Friday night we went to the awards ceremony and he got a ribbon and a certificate. We are so proud of you. Keep up the good work!

Still here.....sort of.

Well the sleepless nights are definitely setting in. Caitlynn came down with an infection in her tear duct that clogged it and made the side of her face swell up. Then, because of the pain, she wasn't eating properly and was losing weight. We took her to the pediatric eye doctor and they did a minor procedure on her and now her face is back to normal and she doesn't look like a pirate anymore. I hope she starts eating better now. Life goes on and I am trying to ride the wave but am seriously dragging. Hope my next post will be a little bit more....positive?

More pics for all you Caitlynn fans out there.

Apparently we didn't do the best job at posting pictures since you could barely see Caitlynn's face. So here are some close-ups of just her. Who do you think she looks like?

Here she is at the hospital the day after she was born.

Nice and cozy wrapped up in her blankets. I think this was at three days old.

Here she is with her eyes open.

And here is Caitlynn in her new swing. I think she likes it.

I walked in and saw Luke and Brooke singing to Caitlynn. Here is Brooke singing to Caitlynn.

Brooke and Caitlynn are already best friends.

Luke is now the big, big brother.

Here she is with a really big bow and a really big yawn.

We think she is the cutest thing ever and she has made our family so happy. We love you Caitlynn!

Caitlynn Rose Edwards is here!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We are so HAPPY to announce that our little angel arrived safely on Tuesday Sept 30 at 7:50pm. She weighed 7lbs 13oz and is 21 inches long. (pretty good size for being 2.5 weeks early right?) She is such a joy and I am feeling so blessed. Thanks for all the prayers-she truly is our gift from God.
Love Ronna
PS I will post pictures soon. I just got home from the hospital a couple of hours ago and I have to find the camera.
